This is a non profit page dedicated to The Cat Empire, a Melbourne based band who mix genres such as gypsy, latino, samba, reggae, jazz, hiphop, funk + and somehow make is sound like pure bloody musical genius. Consisting of 6 very awesome fellas and a particularly feisty horns section (who rock at poker), the Empire has worked their asses off the past 2 years to work up a strong live reputation both in Australia and overseas. I the work of artists here on our fair DA that capture on camera the Empire at gigs, I write journals featuring awesome work here on DA, band info, gossip, tour info and recording news. I'm also occasionally submitting my own work, but the focus is the band. If you watch us, you will become a member, your avatar will be included in our journals and you will be watched with fondness and pride.
